Nepal adventures

Once your soul decides to fly in Nepal - be prepared to the wonders.

My way to Nepal starts when I was thirteen. That time i read a book about Atlantes, and writer was trying to proof that this civilization was located in Nepal and it has evidences on all temples. Eyes. Did you ever pay attention on it? Me neither. But I even didn't know what is Buddhism. Once i read this book I was deeply impressed and start to dig topic of different civilizations, buddhism and many other interesting things.
Years passed. I studied in academy of arts. And i resented the words of one teacher who always began his lectures in arts from " once you will go to Paris you will visit Louvre....." . Why his words were shocking for me? Because that time I barely could buy me a food, not telling of traveling.
My experience can be valuable for you! In this story i wont stop to much explaining what is temple or Buddhism etc. That meanings you ll easily find in Google. I will share you some practical ideas how to use your energy to make this journey full of wonders. Like it was with me.

1. Plans
Have you ever note that all plans you make wont be so perfect as you thought it should be? People say it s because God knows better what you need. So i decide to leave him this part and start to do mine: to enjoy my being here and now. First advise: No plans. You can plan all your life thinking " I really need it", but in the end discover for yourself that because of your plans you didn't have the most important- freedom. Freedom of free thinking or freedom to choose. Let it go. Let your journey take to the right places. Not your mind. I cross all my plans in my notebook and start to roaming around the streets. Yes they were dirty and dusty but only such way i will know what the real life is. And once i did it life threw something more interesting that i was planning.

"Holly cow!" - you will say
The owner was very happy that cow visited hime. Later he said to me that it was God checking up his store :D

2. Born to be free
Open ... your mind, your heart, your eyes in the end. Start to be free in your movements, choices, opinions. Do what you always wanted to do. If you wanted to try yoga but you are ashamed of body or age, just go and do it! It is the most comfortable time and place to do it. Beleive me.

3. Dream!
Nepal has light space. It will give you big potential to see "unreal" but all thoughts are material. Exactly coz of light space your dreams will come true in a few moments. Yes! Like it was with me.

And some small advise very important for being in Nepal: open yourself for others. Who knows what will give you nepali who once just asked "how are you". In my case : i visited original nepali wedding and got opportunity to live free in a house with nepali family.

All my shorts stories to be continued in the next chapters...

Shorties#1 Boudha stupa

Om, Flyingsouls! Nepal is amazingly mystical place. If you will allowed - wanders will wait for you on every step. In this chapter i wanna share with you my short stories, i call them shorties. If you still think it s to much letters then just enjoy my pics :D

Shorties #1
If you came to Nepal it's already wonder. But will be more! So be ready :)
I'll tell you some strange stories happened to me :D

Once i went to pray to Boudha stupa and turn drums. Nepali calls it "kora". You need to pray, turn drums and walk around stupa as much as you can: 1,3,7,9,108 or more rounds. And I thought: "All the monks and people are praying with beads and I have so many 'em in my home but I didn't take even one. I finished my kora and went to look for some beautiful little shiny things which girls always like. In one of the shops I met owner Sandeep, we started to talk about myself, himself and what I m doing here etc. I told him that observe buddhism and feel like I know it many lives, and how I was dreaming from 13 y.o. to come to Nepal. Suddenly he gave me as a present praying beads. I was shocked! Just imagine! So I did my kora. Was thinking about beads and in half an hour I had it in my hands!!! Amazing!! Can you believe it ?
In that moment I just remember I understood that air in Nepal is so light that Gods can hear us without boarders.

Shorties#2 Lumbini temple

Next strange story happened in the same shop, same day.
After Sadeep gave me present we keep talking and i share with him my plans. That for sure I will go visit Lumbini ( where Buddha was born), Bhaktapur, Pokhara and so on. Sadeep was so kind to offer me contacts of his friend Raj who lived in Lumbini and told me that Raj will give me good discount to live in hostel. You need to know, guys, that time when I traveled I didn't have any idea about couchsurfing :)))
Passed few weeks and I came to Lumbini. This place is the most popular among pilgrims if you are really interested in Buddhism. There Siddhartha Gautama (later known as Buddha) was born. There are many temples located near by: for monks, for female monks, for people from Korea and many other different types.
Raj was very kind man. We met and he told me "bad news" as he thought. It sounds:" Nadia, I m sorry, but yesterday i had an order for very big group and i wont have place for any other tourist from "the street". But because I have many friends in temples, one of them invites you to live there for free. Is that okay for you?"
"Is that okay?!" Noooooo! It's awesome!!! Frankly speaking, to live in any buddhism temples, with real monks, to pray with them or just to be with 'em - it's dream of every "idiot" like me ^_^ !!!
So two weeks i lived in temple just near by the place where Great Buddha was born. I had opportunity to meditate, pray and meet many interesting monks and people.

Shorties #3 Pokhara mountain

Another shortie for you my Flyingsouls.
One women told me that in Pokhara there is magic mount and magic lake. If you will go there u must ask God or space, or whoever you believe in about something u need. Of course not material. Coz god rather prefer give you health -> to get job -> to get more money for your , let's say, Lamborghini :)
And I went there. On the mountain I asked something very important for me. Of course i wanted to have proofs. I told:" well God, please show me that You heard me". In a few minutes I start to eat nuts and I lost tooth. So may be sometimes we need faith without proofs?...

Shorties #4 Karma

The best shortie in Nepal i would call "karma"
Before I start to go to mountain i offer to my friend, who also was with me, to drink some morning coffee. It was 6 in the morning. It s too early for touristic place so we found only one cafe where tibetan monks sold us tibetan tee. Well, honestly, it was not tasty. It's really good for health but you may have 10 cups to feel more or less normal taste. I didn't drink it when i tried first time, so I put my cup on the edge of the table. Suddenly from nowhere popped homeless man and grab my cup. You can't imagine how loud we d been loughing when we saw how he tried this "tasty" tee. Hahahahha he grimaced and put cup down on the floor. Then i saw how karma works.
